Veils are powerful gateways used by the Noldor to quickly traverse the world. Following the defeat of the Noldor empire, the Veils were destroyed or locked.

They are spherical in shape and their forms undulate. Their sizes can vary wildly from small Veils meant for the transportation of objects to ones that are larger than buildings, capable of moving people and vehicles. In their dormant state, they are solid crystalline spheres that some unknowing humans use as crystal balls.

The foundation of Nadia's capital city is one of the largest and most powerful Veils, sealed by the Sword of Polaris.
